Lose the city.Find the fog.

Thermal baths, wood-fired saunas and twelve cabins hidden in forty hectares of boreal forest. Ninety minutes north of Montréal.

The idea

We built Brume for one simple reason. People need a place where the phone goes quiet, the body takes over, and the only schedule is heat, cold, and rest. Repeat until the city forgets your name.

The ritual

Three steps. One cycle. Repeat.

Water poured from a wooden ladle onto the hot stones of a wood-fired sauna stove
01

Wood-fired saunas at 85°C

Cedar walls, birch smoke, an aufguss master pouring eucalyptus on the stones every hour. Stay ten to fifteen minutes.

A bather climbing down a ladder into the icy lake from a snowy shore at dusk
02

The river plunge at 4°C

Spring-fed water straight from the mountain. Ten seconds is enough. Your heart rate jumps, your mind goes blank.

Chairs draped in wool blankets beside a fire pit, on a snowy deck above the lake
03

Fire, fog, and nothing else

Hammocks, heated loungers and fire pits by the lake. Twenty minutes of doing nothing at all. This is the part that matters.

In numbers

Slowness, in numbers.

The Ritual
40 ha

of protected boreal forest

7

saunas, baths and plunges

12

cabins, none visible from another

4°C

river plunge, all year

Stay the night

Twelve cabins. Zero neighbours.

Each cabin is placed so you never see another. Private cedar sauna, wood stove, and a window wall that faces the lake.

Winter

Four seasons

The fog changes. The ritual stays.

-18°C

Snow on the decks, steam on the lake. The cold plunge is a hole in the ice. Our busiest and most beautiful season.

Guests

“I forgot to check my phone for two days. I did not know that was still possible.”
