Our Story
A lake,a fog,a stubborn idea.
In 2014, Camille and Antoine Roy bought forty hectares of forest nobody wanted. The road washed out every spring and the lake disappeared under fog most mornings. They thought it was perfect.
Timeline
The land
Forty hectares on Lac Ombre, bought with a loan and a lot of optimism.
The first sauna
Antoine builds a wood-fired sauna by hand. Friends start asking to visit.
Brume opens
Three saunas, a river plunge and a tea bar. Two hundred guests the first winter.
The cabins
Twelve cabins with Atelier Nordet. Each one placed by walking the land for a year.
The Table
Chef Élise Morin joins and opens our forest kitchen.
What we care about
Quiet
No music, no screens, no announcements. The forest is loud enough.
Land
We protect thirty of our forty hectares forever. We build only where trees have already fallen.
Local
